The International Federation of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics (IFAGG) was established in October 2003, and the Hungarian Aesthetic Group Gymnastics Sports Federation was founded in 2011 and became a member of the international federation IFAGG B, which means that it can operate in Hungary in the form of a federation.
The aim of the federation is to promote the sport in Hungary and the surrounding
countries and increase the number of Hungarian member clubs and their competitors
in all age groups.
The main objective is also to promote, develop and teach Aesthetic Group
Gymnastics (AGG), to provide professional training and to organise and run a
national competition system.
To provide development opportunities for each category and the best teams in each
age group, in order to catch up with the international elite as soon as possible.
In fact, aesthetic gymnastics is a competitive sport similar to classical artistic
gymnastics, recognised internationally since 1996.
In contrast to rhythmic gymnastics, this sport does not use the use hand tools and involves the execution of harmonic and rhythmic, dynamic movements. It requires physical qualities such as flexibility, speed, strength, and coordination.
